To Tricia & Staff

Thank you so much for your kindness and caring for Ken – he thanked us many times for bringing him to you at Sibbertoft Manor – traumatic as it was at the time!

It is a great comfort to all the family to know that he slipped away peacefully in that lovely room.

Many appreciative thanks for looking after him.

Many thanks for looking after Stephen so well.  All his visitors commented that Sibbertoft Manor was a fantastic Nursing Home.

Best wishes.

To The Manor Staff

How kind of you to leave me an Easter gift while I had a day at the Farm.

Much appreciated.

My Best Wishes to you all.

Kate and Hilda’s family

Dear Tricia,
On behalf of all of Hilda’s family, I just wanted to put in writing how grateful we all are for the loving care which Hilda received from you over the past 5+ years. She really could not have been better looked after: without exception, everyone treated her with dignity, respect and kindness, and you made her final years as happy and comfortable as possible.
Many thanks from us all

To Tricia and staff

Just a note to say Thank You to everyone for the planning, hard work and hospitality that went into the Care Home Open Day on Friday.

The staff walk miles on a normal shift but went that EXTRA mile to ensure all guests had all they needed for a wonderful afternoon.

The turn-out was great and there was a lovely family atmosphere with people young and old enjoying themselves; not to mention an assortment of well-behaved dogs.

The music and singalong was well received and the weather rain-free and surprisingly hot.  There was enough food at tea-time to feed a small army and Horace, the newly-named stag, looked majestically over the whole scene.

Thanks to Mandy and Holly who helped Mum’s niece, Joy, show her disc of bygone cine-camera footage.  Joy’s Dad, Arthur, is no longer with us and had been in a care home. Joy was keen to show Mum happier times when they had been near neighbours and had holidayed together.

Joy was also interested in the history of the house and we were shown the architect’s hand-drawn plans for its remodelling in 1908 which I had not seen before.

There was even a winning horse in the mix.  So, all in all, a day of good memories.

Thank you all.

I shall miss my visits to Sibbertoft.  I shall miss the lovely house and fantastic garden (more like a Country House Hotel than a nursing home) but most of all I shall miss the cheerful and fun atmosphere.  There were times when I was reminded of family Christmas parties.  Really remarkable when you are caring for so many exceptionally frail people.

I will not mention individual members of staff because, no matter who was on duty, they were all excellent.  Kind, caring, professional and always incredibly patient sometimes in really difficult circumstances.  Over two years, I visited Gilfrid about 250 times and was always impressed by what I saw.

It is comforting to think that perhaps in about ten years’ time I might move to Sibbertoft.  I hope some of the existing staff will still be there.

With very many thanks to you all for making Gilfrid’s last two years so happy.

To Tricia and Ann

I would like to thank you and every member of staff at Sibbertoft who helped us through the last few days of my mother’s life.  Absolutely every single person we met during this time was so understanding, sensitive, caring and professional.  The respect and care my mother received were wonderful.  I cannot thank you all enough.

Lindsay and I would also like to thank Sibbertoft for caring for mother over the last seven years.  We both found it so reassuring to know that our mother was safe being looked after so well.

Kind regards

Joyce

Thank you all very much.

Everyone made me feel very welcome. The staff made me happy and coped very well with my extremely odd ways.  Your residents also made me feel very welcome.

I thought your activities an excellent idea.  I shall miss them – they were all very enjoyable.

When the time comes, I do hope I will be able to return!   I’m having a strange time returning to my old routine.  Too much excellent care!

My regards to all. Yours very sincerely

As Mum gets frailer she appreciates more and more the compassionate care of the staff at Sibbertoft, as do I.

Thank you so much for everything and hope you have a Happy New Year.
