Children have now returned to school after the Summer holidays so Fee has resumed her volunteer work; reading with the children
from Welford School. If anyone else would like to help with this weekly activity please let us know, they would be very welcome.
The children benefit hugely from individuals taking the time to listen to them and encouraging their reading skills. We will take the minibus weekly so please let us know if you are interested in attending.
Some of our residents have recently expressed a wish for ‘guest’ speakers to come to the home to provide talks of interest. We have sent out several invitations to local establishments, businesses and charities and are waiting for responses. We hope that a programme of talks will commence in late October. Details of all talks will be circulated as soon as they are confirmed.
Please remember the minibus is available to take you on outings. If anyone would like to visit Market Harborough, go for coffee or visit local attractions please let a member of activity staff know and they will be happy to arrange this for you.
