Our World Alzheimer’s Day event…

What can I say? It has been a truly memorable afternoon here at Sibbertoft Manor. We have had a final summer hurrah with ice-cream and a beach themed photo booth. We would like to thank the family of Neil and Elizabeth for gifting us the vintage ice-cream van for the afternoon as a way of saying thank you to all the staff for the wonderful care their parents received while they were here. The Horsebox Ice Cream Company did a fantastic job and even brought the sunshine with them! Roddy from LJPhotostop created an amazing beach scene in our lounge, where residents, family members and particularly staff enjoyed dressing up and getting immediate snap shots to take away. The raffle held at the end of the afternoon raised over £100 for our quarterly charity – Dementia UK. Wonderful!
