Children learn from residents history

We were delighted to welcome pupils from Welford School to Sibbertoft in June. Some residents have been involved in assisting with projects surrounding core subjects recently and the children visited to discuss historical toys and games. Residents and children played together for the morning and then the children had a picnic within the grounds. It is hoped that the relationship between Sibbertoft Manor and the school will continue in the next academic year. Fee, is volunteering to assist the children with reading progress on a weekly basis from September and has done so many times this term. If any other residents would like to join her they would be very welcome. The children benefit hugely from individuals taking the time to listen to them and encouraging their reading skills. Jon, will take the minibus weekly so please let us know if you are interested in attending.
